Lush vegetation, rolling fairways, challenging mounds and bunkers with very little room for error if your drives are wayward. The second nine, which are as technically difficult, were updated by Italians Baldovino Dassi and Alvise Fioravanti. At 6,620 yards in length and a par 72, this course will both test and delight you at the same time.
Italian Open venue
Golf club Verona is very well known not only for its superb golf course but has hosted two Italian Opens along with several Italian championships and Pro-ams. The course record of 65 is currently held by Jesper Parnevik.
A good plan might be 18 holes in the morning followed by a drink and lunch in the clubhouse, then a short hop into Verona for a spot of sightseeing or shopping in the beautiful medieval city before returning to your hotel in Salo for supper and recuperation… just a thought!
