The course is set in the Bergamo Alps south of Lake Como. This is not far from where Pellegrino spring water comes from.
The primary 18 holes, the “blue and yellow” combination is a 6,636-yard par 72 course. In 1996 Bergamo L’Albenza Golf Club hosted the Italian Open. The equally as good “red” nine holes is an excellent layout and boasts some of the most spectacular views.
It is probably best to play all 27 holes for a complete Bergamo L’Albenza experience!
At times, the narrow tree-lined and undulating fairways which climb toward the hills, are crossed by alpine streams. This requires careful course management.
A beautiful golf course, Bergamo L’Albenza Golf Club was the home of the famous European tour player Constantino Rocca. Constantino Rocca nearly won the 1995 British open at St Andrews, losing in the play off to John Daly.
Doubtless his links skills were honed on this terrific course which will be difficult to leave off your itinerary when planning your Bespoke Golf Experience.
