It’s located in the Mougins area, just thirty minutes from Antibes and stretches across the secluded ‘Vallon de l’Oeuf’. Surrounded by peaceful countryside with olive trees and ancient stonewall terracing, it does well to preserve the traditional Provençale character of the land.
The par 71, 6,600 yard course is not only a feast for the eyes but a real joy to play. Arriving at the club, the quality of the estate is very apparent. A luxurious clubhouse accompanied by a very high level of service, sets the tone for an experience that will be long remembered.
Demanding yet delightful
This undulating course with a mixture of holes from the demanding to the genteel, is a mouth-watering prospect. Though be warned – probably not for high handicappers who may find the experience overwhelming.
Good course management is essential during your round which will include a considerable number of awkward stances, difficult bunker shots, waterfalls and streams.
Royal Mougins is a true Championship course with many spectacular holes. It’s just delightful.
