Nestled in lush greenery and facing the Esterel Mountains, it’s an oasis of tranquillity. Acquired in March 2008 by the Domaine de Barbossi, the owners have since breathed new life into it, making this exceptional site a true jewel of Côte d’Azur.
It’s the only golf course on the Riviera to present a permanent collection of contemporary sculptures, comprising twenty-two original and scattered creations of astonishing art, installed throughout the course.
A creation by Robert Trent Jones
The course was designed by American architect, Robert Trent Jones Sr. At 5,960 yards in length and despite it’s simplistic layout, the course will surprise many a golfer as Golf de Barbossi is surrounded by pines, mimosa, olive trees and very old cork oaks.They present technical difficulties that require some tactical choices throughout the round.
The course is surrounded by four lakes, with the River Riou de l’Angleterre present on several holes, ensuring Barbossi is an enjoyable and challenging course for players of all levels.
