A relatively recent creation, Golf du Makila is certainly challenging to play and also to walk, in places. It’s been very well thought out by architect Rocky Roquemore, who must have been rubbing his hands together at the prospect of being let loose in this superb region.
This excellent 18-hole course sits on a beautifully natural site. It Meanders through a centuries-old forest of oak trees and the views are truly spectacular.
With the majestic Pyrénées as a constant backdrop, it would be tough not to enjoy this course. The great lunches available in the clubhouse, overlooking the 1st and 18th holes are also not to be missed.
This course will leave you breathless right from the first tee, with a superb variety of holes and stunning topography. It is well-balanced and enjoyable for golfers of all levels.
